A treasure in the arms of my Savior

So I just need to get this off my chest and for some reason, writing it always feels better! I just absolutely love how God gives us exactly what we need to hear when we need to hear it.

Being a girl, my emotions go up and down and every way sometimes. I come into my room and plop down on my bed. eager for encouragement I grab my Bible and open it. I sit there and stare at it for a minute and all of a sudden don’t know where to begin. I start to feel really discouraged. Then my mom randomly comes in my room and sits down on my bed (completely unaware of my feelings at the moment) and opens it to 1 Peter. She tells me how she has been listening to this CD in the car that reads straight from the Bible. She had been listening to 1 Peter. This morning, during her Bible study, what did the preacher have to talk about??? Yes, 1 Peter. She opens it and starts reading. My heart starts beating faster and all of a sudden, I feel comforted. The words I read were sweet to my ears. They were exactly what I needed, and was eager to hear.

1 Peter 5:8-10 “Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”

I seriously love days like this…staying cuddled up in my warm blankets all day, with the window cracked, listening to the raindrops outside my window.

I love the thrill of hearing the thunder and seeing the lightening! God really is so amazing isnt He?

So I love my job! I have a very hard job but at the same time it is so rewarding =) last night was a good night. I had 6 patients and got all my work done on time and was infact done with everything an hour before I had to clock out! Yay!!

At midnight, one of my patients needed a sandwich and I made my way to Maternity to get one. As I am walking down the hall in maternity, I hear the precious sound of a newborn baby crying. This new couple sharing their first few moments with their new little joy<3 Aww it was so sweet. I cant wait to start working with the babies! One day I will =)

Shortly after that, I decided to head up to 3rd floor to have a little lunch break with my friend Chrystal Waters! CBU students know where to work!! It is so funny going to a different floor and seeing how different each floor is! It was quiet and still on 3rd..while on my floor, this was my first break and chance for a deep breathe!

Michael Buble’s “Everything “song stuck in my head the entire night! Maria-I kept thinking of you <3 So then I get off work and head home while the sun is barely coming up. I feel like I get to see the sunrise every morning! It is so beautiful <3 So I’m blastin my music the whole way home to keep from falling asleep at the wheel. Get home, shower, and sleep till 330 today! That was nice because usually I wake up at 1230, eat lunch then take another nap around 2.

Who do I see as soon as I wake up? None other than my auntie and 3 little cousins in my living room. A snow day was their plan for the day.
